Is This Thing On? (Part Deux)

Testing. Testing. Is this thing still on? Its been a while since I've last posted anything here. This year is actually the 10th anniversary of the Holynub Report being online. Which is just bananas to me. It does feel like a world away from when things first started. I've been kinda humming and hawing about what I should do with the domain and the site. And at this point, I'm gonna say LET IT RIDE BABY. The long hiatus from me has really been due to pie related things. But that's not a story for this site.

At the beginning, I was looking to do more of a "GAEMZ JURNALIZM" type of blog. But I think that's a bit played out now. I could do reviews of games, but I do run into the problem of not always finishing games or having games that I really like to play that are in early access. So, I'll probably try to write about games still, but maybe in a less serious business style. Not like I've ever written anything here "professionally."

In addition to trying to write a bit more, I'm also thinking about expanding more on what I write here. I usually just go on about my vidjya gaems and haven't really expanded out into my other nerdom realms. I'm probably going to make a change to that too.

First, I'm really into mechanical keyboards. Like, THEY ARE THE LIFE BLOOD levels of "into". Mechanical keyboards are man's greatest invention. Don't think so? FIGHT ME. The craftsmanship, the engineering, the SOUNDS. OHHHH GOD. The clickity clackity sounds. Its ear sex while having real sex with myself. Is that weird? Yeah, that's weird. BUT THAT'S WHAT ITS LIKE. And like the finer things in life, everyone's got their kink. So why not write about it?

And secondly, I'm going to start a little segment for anime I've watched. Woah woah woah, HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE. We doing an anime blog now? Not really. I'm slowly beginning to notice that I can't remember all the goddamn anime I've watched. This first started when I re-watched Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar. I sat there and re-watched the ENTIRE SERIES. And there was a little voice in the back of my head saying "Hey... This seems familiar..." And only by the 6th episode did I realize, "I watched this show like 5 years ago." Did I still enjoy it? Yeah, it was fun. But with all the shit anime available to watch in the world, maybe I need to write my notes down just so I know if I've been there and done that. I'm thinking about writing these articles more as a letter to myself in the future. That way I can hit home the whole "EY! You've watched this! So move on!" And maybe if it was a really good show, I'll watch it again.

SO anyway, here's to 2018 and to a decade of sporadic updates! w0rd

 It's that time of the year again.  Time for the whole gift giving and happy and the extra weight gain.  HURRAH!!  Soon, the fat man will be visiting peoples houses and eat their cookies.  Ohhh so delicious cookies.  And he bears gifts!

Well, we've been pretty dormant the past year.  Did a bunch of stuff.  Had do the whole finish school thing.  But now I'm back!  And unemployed!  But not really, but kinda.  So, now that I have a less hectic schedule(at least in theory) I'm gonna try to post more things on the site.  What kind of things you ask?  Why MANY THINGS MY DEAR WATSON!

Most games(& gamers) are

Probably won't do formal "review" reviews anymore.  They take up a lot of time, and I hate breaking games down to their bare bits and ANALyzing them.  I'll leave that to Yahtzee at Zero Punctuation to do that.  He does it better and has a british accent, so he's got 2 up on me there.  There will be articles on games, but they will be more of a "Woah there's this gaem.  And i played it.  And it was awesome because."

Social commentary pieces.  Yeahhh might tone those down a bit.  I reread a couple of them.  Though interesting, I think we need to get off the soap box and back to the buffet line.  We'll do one every now and then, but other than ranting about how stupid people are, I'd rather rant about games.

Hope everyone likes the new layout.  I do.  Gonna browse around for some kewl gadgets for the sides.  ALso, you can share this crap with other social medias yayz!  Go on, clik it!  You can tweet it or even post it to facebook.  Ishnt dat vierd?  Kept with the dark background with white text theme.  Learned that from Maddox.  It is much easier to read things on a monitor if they have a dark background and white text.  It just is.  I programmed a lot of shit in college.  Staring at a white screen looking at lines of code.  Yeah, kinda shitty if you're doing that for 13389083014 hours.  If you don't, well find me something better damnit!  Link it in comment or somethin.

The story so far...

Alright! Alright! I get it, i haven't posted in a long ass time. Mah bad! Been busy raidin. Pretty much life consists of work, food, sleep, and pug raids. Occasionally i get to go out and do stuff. But mainly raid. Last time i posted, we had a bunch of alts that were on the way to 80. Here's how far we got.

Wonderbread - 80 - geared enough to run pretty much all end game content as ret/holy/prot.
Holynub - 80 - Just hit 80. Ghetto gear
Sendou - 80 - Tank gear is pretty good. Can handle as a Naxx tank. DPS gear is lacking.
Hikoa - 73 - Just got him to dalaran for JC stuff.
Puinsai - 80 - Epic gear. Naxx worthy
Upolu - 80 - Basically pop's main raiding toon. Naxx cleared. gear good. but still needs a few pieces.
Bakatare - 80 - Some gear. DPS is rather low. pops mainly uses druid to farm.
Kekuhaupio - 80 - Primarily Nax10 tank gear. More than capable of Nax25. DPS gear is decent.
Kahokunui - 80 - Kek's new DPS toon. He rips shit up.
Kukailimoku - 73 - Grinded up a bit... but kinda stopped caring.
Yosemitesam - 70 - Yup.. Aint touchin this for a LONG time.
